Do you think it's possible that Eve, one of Adam's ex-wives, is actually Roo?
Do you think it's possible that Eve, one of Adam's ex-wives, is actually Roo?
As I've said before here, one thing that will be essential for both shows, is that Demons learn that they are NOT naturally evil. It's the system that's been established that encourages and tempts them to go bad. Plus, it keeps demons fighting each other. Because if they were unified, they could threaten the harmful status quo Heaven endorses.
One method of solving this systemic issue in Hell is learning who is behind it. So far, I have 2 suspects.
Roo. As the ultimate villain of HH and maybe HB, it's Roo is has corrupted Hell. Plus, she's a greater scope villain yet to show up. And greater scope villains tend to be THAT powerful.
2 Lilith is said to have empowered Hell with her songs. But if our fears of her being a villainess are true, it's possible that her songs contains seeds to discord and disharmony. And those effects still power Hell.
Additionally, it could be possible that BOTH are responsible. Either working together or Lilith is Roo's pawn. Regardless, it should be established that this doesn't MAKE demons be bad. But it does plant ideas in their heads. Perhaps a harmonious song from Charlie could solve this? Bonus points if Lilith is a pawn, and both she and Charlie sing a harmonious song which solves this.
Regardless, Demons will still be capable of doing bad. But without Roo or Lilith's influence, fewer ideas for being bad will be planted in their heads.
Anyway, this is MY theory. Got any theories of your own?

See Lute for how they might react
So, the episode mentioned should be named "Bloody Valentine’s", and it centers around Roo trying to conquer all of Hell by murdering couples in every ring and brainwashing other couples into doing her bidding, so now I.M.P’s gotta stop Roo before it’s too late and she’s successful in her plans

Hi, I’m not on this fandom very often, but I’d like to share a theory I have been working on for months now based off the season 1 and concept stuff the creator has posted about. If this is already a common theory I apologize, like I said I haven’t read much fandom discussion for Hazbin Hotel yet. I hope you enjoy.
I am a big believer that the upcoming at some point character Roo (who is known for her demon hands just like the one Charlie gained at the end of season 1, and her humanoid design is near identical to Charlie’s original design) used to be Eve because in episode one mer 4 seconds after Eve accepts the apple we the audience see visuals of what looks like Roo’s true demon form, and of course Roo is short for “ROOt of all Evil” emphasis on “EVEil”.
So it is firm in my mind that Roo used to be Eve, but how does that relate to Charlie. Well, from everything we have seen so far Lucifer seems (even 7+ years separated) viciously loyal to Lilith, and yet to get under Adam’s skin he implies he slept with Eve who only came into the picture after Lucifer and Lilith were already together, those two facts combined with one interpretation of the mythological figure of Lilith being unable to birth live children a pretty plausible theory pops into my head. Roo(Eve) acted as both egg donor and surrogate for the Morningstars. That’s why Charlie shares no physical features with Lilith other than blonde hair which could come from Lucifer and height which could come from Roo. And again, this would explain Charlie’s demon hand that doesn’t seem to come from Lucifer or Lilith.
But to be clear though, while Roo would be Charlie’s donor and surrogate, she is not Charlie’s mother as every single thing points to Lilith and Lucifer happily raising Charlie together as their own for 18-200+ years, and I don’t think Lucifer had any relations with Roo beyond what was necessary to conceive Charlie. I also don’t think this has anything to do with whatever reason why Lilith left, but could bring some mother-daughter drama if Charlie learns she isn’t biologically Lilith’s.
Anyway, I’d love to hear people’s thoughts.

Lucifer created the Root of Evil when Eve was still pure, giving her the Fruit of Knowledge, which led to her corruption. Unfortunately, his plan backfired as the evil spread to Earth, resulting in Eve, Lucifer, and Lilith being banished to Hell. There, Eve fully transformed into Roo, embodying the Root of Evil. Additionally, Roo disguised herself as Lilith to deceive Adam and his exorcists into eliminating Lucifer and Charlie. I still hold onto the hope that the real Lilith is out there somewhere. By the way, did you catch the first episode of Hazbin Hotel? It dives into the backstory of Lilith, Lucifer, Adam, and Eve.
What I mean is, do you think she gave Sera or Adam the idea? I'm re-watching some theory vids about how Roo works and most of them point to her being the little voice in your head that tells you to do bad things.
The King of Chaos, the Monarch of Mayham, the Duke of Disorder, these are the names that can best describe this Chaos causing reptile. He is the creation of Roo, founder of the Vees, and the most powerful demon in hell, able to bend reality itself, but, he's not heartless, manipulative, and sadistic, he's goofy, childish, and basically a living rubber hose cartoon.
I like the idea that Eve's body is not completely possessed by evil all the time (let's say that the theory that Eve is possessed by evil is true) and Roo appears only in unstable moments, just like when The Void takes control of Sentry's body.
Either Lilith isn’t Charlie’s actual mom and Roo is, or Lilith and Roo are the same person-
It isn’t identical but is VERY similar

Good and Evil are shown as literal entities and equal rivals in the prologue. The Seven Deadly Sins are the dark counterparts of the Seven Virtues. The Seven Virtues definitely exist and are seraphim, with Lucifer who used to be part of their order and Emily replaced him:
My point is that seraphim are made of Good, and sins are made of Evil. In fact, they have the same nature in a sense. But it's worth considering that sin and virtue are just titles. Lucifer lost the title of virtue, but remained a seraph. Virtues belong to the race of seraphim, and sins belong to the race of devils. Lucifer received the title of sin, but did not turn into a devil, because he belongs to the seraphim race. I think the title of the sin of pride was given to him by Roo (the embodiment of evil), so Roo did not create a devil embodying the sin of pride. I wonder which demon from mythology would embody pride if Lucifer had not been appointed to this position?
I have two theories regarding Charlie.
Theory 1: Charlie's a nephilim. the personal reason is because she looks taller than her dad and nephilims have been described as being tall and strong. It's also worth noting that she is The offspring of Lucifer, a fallen angel and Lilith the first woman.
Theory 2: Roo is her true mother. a lot of people with theorize this and I am here to give my reasons. When in her demon mode, it's visibly different from Lucifer's as it appears more reddish pink like Roo's and her hair flares wildly like fire similar to Roo's. They also have the same nose and same body build. Plus the Creator herself said she couldn't answer a question regarding if Lilith and Lucifer were her true parents
For those who don't know what I'm talking about, Changeling fantasies are about children who discover that the people they've been calling their parents are not their biological parents, and learn their biological parents are or were people of great importance.
It's a very common trope in fairy tales, and for years, it has frequently portrayed the foster family as dull at best, and evil at worst. This was because learning about being adopted was for many years, considered shameful.
Over the years, as adoption became more socially accepted, the trope became inverted frequently by revealing that the real parents of great importance were actually evil all along. Or the whole thing was a masquerade or con. In even more recent years, in an attempt to teach some old tropes new tricks, Changeling stories are now about duality. The main character is a child of two worlds and is trying to reconcile them. Often while they accept their famous or fantastical lineage, the live by the down to earth values of their foster family/world.
Now where does Hazbin Hotel fit into all this? Well, with more and more people wondering if Lilith, or Eve, or Roo is Charlie's bio mom, and which of them has been raising Charlie since she was a girl, perhaps HH could take a few lessons from fairy tales. And in more recent years, clever writers have introduced Changeling fantasy to more adult media. Pan's Labyrinth mixed both fairy tale elements and war and facism together to create one of the most bittersweet war/dark fantasy/fairy tale movies ever made. Our heroine is a little girl who learns she is a Princess of a Fairy Tale kingdom. And to get back home, she'll need to face not only horrific monsters, but reality based evil from a fascist regime.
And Once Upon a Time is another fairy tale logic meets reality story. Our heroine is a hard nosed detective who learns that she was born in a Disney fantasy world, and is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. And this sets off a chain of events involving many different stories that are all connected in very labyrinthine ways.
Bottom line, this trope has found ways to work with adult audiences. So it could work in HH. Who is her real mom? Who was the mom who raised her? Are any of them evil? Was she born in Hell, Earth, or Heaven? And if another group of theories have any feet, is Emily Charlie's sister or half-sister? And where did she come from?
I know this is off topic but when I listen to Red from descendants 4 I just got the feeling that this will be a perfect villain song for the entrance of Roo, root of evil.
I'm not talking about the necessary lyrics but mostly the atmosphere the intensity just everything except the lyrics.
Honestly, when we do see Roo I just imagine her to have a more badass entrance especially with the eyes around The Pride ring

Appearance
Physical Traits/Clothing
Roo, a demon-esque spirit, is distinguished by her pale complexion, which starkly contrasts with her long, jet-black hair. This hair, which subtly shifts into a fiery red gradient at the ends, seems to possess a life of its own, moving as though made of flames. Her eyes are particularly striking: the whites are a vivid crimson, and the irises glow a bright, luminescent white, casting an eerie light in the darkness and adding to her intimidating visage. Her eyelids are adorned with burgundy eyeshadow, enhancing her already intense appearance. Adding to her ominous allure are pronounced, pulsating veins along her neck, which appear as dark tendrils with a sinister, scarlet glow.
These veins, along with the appearance of her arms and neck being bound, give off an air of confinement and entrapment. One of Roo's most unique features is what appears to be an extraordinarily long, eldritch tongue, but is one of her signature roots. Her teeth are sharp and fearsome, with traces of dried blood around her mouth, and her limbs and legs are marked with streaks of dirt and grime. Roo's attire is just as striking as her physical features.
She dons a large fedora with a black brim, a white band, and a checkered underside. Her outfit includes a striking red trench coat, worn open, with an undershirt that matches the hat's checkered pattern. She pairs these with black trousers and thigh-high stiletto boots, which have black roots wrapped around the heels. In another variation, she sports an oversized black fedora with a weeping skull motif, a tattered red sleeveless shirt over a checkered undershirt, black short shorts with chain suspenders, and sturdy black boots. In her true form, Roo transforms into a tree-like, eldritch entity made of shadow or black fire. This form features hair-like black flames and a distinct, bright red burn mark on her forehead. Her eyes in this form are haunting, with a whitish-red sclera, and her lower body morphs into jagged, root-like appendages, reminiscent of the Tree of Knowledge.
Personality
Roo is a complex and multifaceted character, possessing a captivating and charismatic nature that allows her to effortlessly influence and manipulate others. She is adept at utilizing her affable charm to win people over, as well as exploiting their psychological vulnerabilities and insecurities to achieve her ends. Roo takes pleasure in toying with individuals, inciting conflict, and staying several steps ahead of everyone else. Her demeanor can swiftly shift between menacingly evil and charmingly whimsical, showcasing her hyperintelligent and mastermind-like qualities. She embodies the traits of a rebellious, chaotic, and fun-loving friend, while also exuding the characteristics of a protective older sister or a somewhat eccentric and unreliable confidant. Roo's true malevolent nature is unveiled when she revels in being an extremely ruthless and sadistic individual, deriving pleasure from inflicting cruelty for its own sake. Her motivation for such actions does not stem from a desire for power, revenge, or a tragic past, but rather from a simple desire to have fun without a deeper purpose.
Nonetheless, she is capable of empathizing with others, such as an omnipotent being, God, with whom she can relate due to their shared lack of purpose. Roo strongly dislikes relying on minions, particularly those with independent wills, as she prefers to personally orchestrate misery and carry out her sinister plans. She views employing henchmen as a necessity and derives no enjoyment from having others carry out her malevolent deeds when she can revel in the destruction and suffering firsthand. This disdain for using proxies is a trait she has passed on to her daughter. Additionally, Roo has a peculiar fascination with garbage, finding beauty in items that are typically considered disgusting and worthless. Her fondness for trash extends to its sensory aspects, as she appreciates the smell, taste, and sight of repulsive things. This is reflected in her eating habits, which involve consuming moldy, rotten food and drinking bitter black coffee—in which the rest of her family members have to wear protective forcefields to avoid the stench. Despite her macabre and dark humor, she strives to fulfill a motherly role and is discerning when sharing details about herself with children.
Other Facts
Roo, inspired by the Tree of Knowledge from the biblical tale in Genesis, embodies a complex symbolism.
Her moniker, "Roo," a concise form of "root of evil," encapsulates her dual nature. She represents both the origin of malevolence and the wisdom of the Tree of Knowledge. She appears to have a Spanish accent and has an affinity for Colombian/Hispanic culture, implementing it into her identity far earlier in her cosmic life... being part of Darcy's multicultural heritage: Hebrew/Jewish for God, Creole/Cajun with Alastor and Latin-American for Roo.
Roo's theme song, embodying her essence, would be a tune similar to "When You're Evil" by Aurelio Voltaire.
In a fantastical twist, Roo's presence is marked by a lethal stench, deadly to mortals, and her breath has the power to induce comas in mortals and wilt plant life but with Darcy's magic, people can be protected. She can play the violin and has her sigil which is a stylized emblem composed predominantly in a vibrant red hue. It features an intricate design that suggests a blend of symbolic and abstract elements.
The central figure resembles a tree or a tribal totem with three distinct branches extending upwards. Each branch bifurcates into smaller limbs that are sharply pointed, giving the impression of flames or barbed talons. The lower part of the sigil appears to be rooted in a base that flares out on either side, reminiscent of a ceremonial chalice or a heraldic standard. The lines are bold and assertive, with no additional embellishments, focusing the viewer's attention on the stark contrast between the red figure and the black background.
The overall shape is symmetrical along the vertical axis, suggesting balance and a sense of deliberate construction. Despite its symmetry, the sigil has a dynamic quality, with the upward thrust of the branches implying movement, growth, or a reach for ascendance. Despite being an ancient Primordial (not as ancient as Asherah) from Pre-Creation, it is shown that Roo does not know the meaning of the word "healthy" until Darcy gives her the definition, much to her annoyance. She is shown to be a partner-in-crime with her sister, who is the Tree of Life/Astarte, and always causes chaos in family gatherings. She is billions of years old.
Her relationship with God, with Alastor being a third wheel, is similar to the Chinese philosophy of Yin and Yang, which believes in contradictory forces being complementary and interdependent, balancing each other out (such as light and dark, life and death, good and evil, etc.). This relationship can also be compared to the much older primordial forces of Chaos and Order, reincarnated into Asherah and Chaos, and further reincarnated into Darcy and Blitzø.
@Dantdmfan204 and @Oxygonal What do you think of this take for the Tree of Knowledge for Good and Evil? I'll be posting the Tree of Life next ;) and she is evil but isn't like the cause of all the evil happening in the Hellaverse, since she detached herself from that a loooong time ago...
It’s either gonna be Roo or Lute who turns out to be Eve.
I say Lute because of how she reacted to adam’s death.
I honestly don’t have a solid theory atm but yeah :l
