Trivia[]

  • He is of Iranian descent.[4]
  • Amir stated in an interview that he only watched a little bit of the pilot before auditioning, and after getting the role he only watched it fully once and had not seen it again.[5] He explained that he only watched about a minute to get a vibe of the pilot and pilot voice actors, but didn't want to watch too much due to worrying that his role would be more like an impression rather than bringing himself to it.[6]
  • After Vivienne Medrano saw a clip on YouTube of Amir singing "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile",[7] despite not knowing anything about him yet, and hoping that he was an experienced voice actor, she wanted him to voice as Alastor in Hazbin Hotel and had an audition sent to him, and in his audition he nailed the sound that she created the character to.[8][9]
    • For his audition for the role, Amir did a scene from "Overture" and sung "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile", and he recorded his audition while sitting inside his closet.[10]
  • According to Amir, season 1 took him a total of 18 hours to record, which happened across 6 days of 3 hour sessions.[11]
  • When asked if he could voice any other character in Hazbin Hotel who would it be, Amir answered Charlie, explaining that he really relates to her idealism and sweetness which he doesn't get to do very often.[12]
