"Asmodeus has his demons legally travel to Earth for work all the time. I made the case for you to earn one. You will be technically under his jurisdiction but you will be able to go anywhere you will in the human realm without fear of consequences. Without breaking demon law."
Stolas to Blitzo, about the Crystal

Asmodean Crystals are a type of magical mineral that allow hellborns to access the human world legally and without consequence.

They are mostly given to Succubi by Asmodeus himself for the demons to conduct Earth-related business and are usually disguised as part of everyday jewelry.

History[]

Asmodean Crystals are first referenced in "The Circus" during the song Stolas Sings, wherein Stolas procures a book from his personal bookshelf titled "King of Lust - Asmodeus" and skims through pages detailing Asmodean Crystals.

The pages are written in runic alphabet which, when translated, reveal that Asmodean Crystals are mainly given and registered to Succubi (and Incubi) by Asmodeus himself, allowing their users to summon a portal to the mortal realm. The book also notes that the crystals are often worn in jewelry.

Asmodean Crystals make their first physical appearance in "Unhappy Campers", where Blitzo forces a succubi to use an Asmodean Crystal disguised as a buttplug to summon a portal to where his sister was. Barbie Wire later uses her own Asmodean Crystal, which is disguised as part of her wristwatch, to remove her Human Disguise and then to return to Hell.

In "Oops", Stolas has a meeting with Asmodeus and asks him about giving Blitzo an Asmodean Crystal for his business to access the mortal realm. Asmodeus declines due to Fizzarolli's hatred of Blitzo at the time, but after mentioning the request to Fizzarolli, Fizzarolli says to let Blitzo have it.

After having received an Asmodean Crystal from Asmodeus, in "The Full Moon", Stolas gives the Asmodean Crystal to Blitzo in exchange for his grimoire. The crystal is disguised in Blitzo's left glove, imitating the yellow eye-like decoration on it.

Activation[]

In "Mission: Antarctica", due to its origins in the Lust Ring it has to be activated by certain means, such as caressing or licking. However, Barbie Wire manages to activate hers with a simple touch in "Unhappy Campers". According to Millie, the crystal will not activate if the user tries to use brute force, which may be based off of Asmodeus' views on lust.

Trivia[]

  • In "The King of Lust - Asmodeus" book, the pages Stolas stops on about Asmodean Crystals is written in Nordic runes, which translates as:
"Bestowed to mainly Succubi and Incubi by the Sin of Lust, these crystals allow access to the mortal realm.
Any Hellborn in possession of a registered crystal may be granted portal summons.
It is common practice to have the crystal paired with another object for convenience.
Jewelry is the most popular option.
writing in Runes shit was fun at first, but I know I am def not doing it right, OK, I should be spending more time with my friends and family."
  • Similar to Stolas' Grimoire, the crystals have portal-creating properties.
  • It is currently unknown if Loona, Vortex, and Stolas also have access to these crystals, as none of them are succubi but have the ability to change into human disguises, however, it is likely that, at least for Loona and Stolas, can do so via magic rather than use of the crystals.
    • It is worth noting that Stolas has briefly mentioned in "Seeing Stars" how he needs the grimoire when asked by Blitzo if he could give them human disguises as well, insinuating that there is a specific spell that also has a similar effects to the Crystals' ability to disguise its wearers.
  • As shown in "The Full Moon", Blitzo's Asmodean Crystal infused with his gloves' eye-like decoration, implying that Asmodean Crystals' disguises are based on the preexisting object they fuse with rather than being crafted into a disguise. This also applies to Barbie Wire who has one in her wristwatch.
  • As shown in "Apology Tour", the crystal can also act as portal between the rings of Hell.
    • In the same episode, as well as in "Ghostf**kers", it was shown that the crystal has the ability to open into different sizes, allowing the I.M.P van to enter the living world.
  • According to Stolas, any demon who wields an Asmodean Crystal is under Asmodeus' jurisdiction, wherein they can legally and without suffering consequence be able to travel to Earth.
