Bad With Us is the first of three songs featured in the Hazbin Hotel season two episode "Silenced", sung by Vox and the other Overlords. In this song, the Overlords discover Alastor's capture at the hands of Vox, who then rallies them and other demons to join the Vees in taking over Heaven.
Lyrics[]
Zeezi: Holy shit, is this true?
Alastor's been defeated?
Demon: By Lucifer?
Zeezi: No!
Demon: Then who?
Zeezi: That self-absorbed TV head
Maestro: Word is, he gut him fair and square
Zeezi: I heard Vox fucked him with a chair
Zeezi, Maestro, and another demon: Either way, it's seemin' the Radio Demon's off the air
Prick: I can't remember ever seein' power shift this fast
Prick and Hatchet: With all his smarmy talk
I thought Vox was just gassed up
Demon: Now he's surpassed all expectations
Zeezi: Hell as we know it is through, he's shaken the foundations!
Zeezi, Maestro, Prick, Hatchet, and other demons: Now that Vox's muscles are flexed
Zeezi: Who knows what moves those Vees will make next?
Vox: So I've had a stroke of luck, it's true
But I'm not one to rest on my laurels
What better time to reinforce our crew?
Grab an olive branch, go knock on some door-els
Why should we keep crossing swords?
After all, we're all overlords
Vox: You know you wanna be bad with us (Valentino and Velvette: Bad with us)
Come and make angels mad with us (Valentino and Velvette: So mad with us)
And Zeezi?
I hear that Heaven has some pretty sick venues
Open a club up
Make a hubbub
Drop a beat to amen to
Hey, Prick and Hatchet
Best believe your gang fights are gonna be batshit
With exorcist blades
You can fill Heaven with rage
Oh, Maestro
I know a tranquil realm where you can rest
Hey, Zestial
There's old, boring shit up there
Books, tea, elder care
Mi querida (My dear), Carmilla!
Carmilla Carmine: Are you serious?
Vox: Mm, yeah, okay...
It's the dawn of a new regime
Come on, join the winning team!
Zeezi: It's so much fun to be—
Demons and Overlords: Bad with us
So bad (Demon: So fuckin' bad)
With us!
Vox: Cha-cha-cha
Velvette and Valentino: No!/Stop it!
Trivia[]
- Sam Haft likes to think that this song acts like a welcome back song that shows how things stand as of now, and everyone In Hell is like on their phones and popping out of windows saying "did you hear the news" because Alastor and Vox's rivalry is something so well known among the other Overlords, that something like this is unbelievable and amazing and a sudden earthquake for them, since no one thought that something like this would happen, and the first part of it acts as reverberation of the News, and the second half of the song is this very fun duop with old school flim-flam, where Vox shows up to people and is like "hey come and join my band, cone on let's get the gang together", and what was fun for this was how Vox would blend in with different genres to entice the other Overlords with something by speaking their language, and in Carmilla’s case he actually tries to speak her language but it goes disastrously.[1]
- Unlike various other Overlords, Rosie isn't shown or mentioned during the song. According to Sam Haft, this is due to her being the friendliest Overlord toward Alastor, explaining why Vox didn't try asking her to join his cause.
