"Don't you want your family to be able to buy a bigger tent? Better food? Don't you want to be able to help me and your mama out?"
―Cash, to a young Blitzo about selling him

Cash Buckzo[1][2] is the father of Blitzo and Barbie Wire, as well as the adoptive grandfather of Loona. He is the ring leader of his family circus and Fizzarolli's former boss.

He is a minor character who made his debut in "The Circus".

Appearance[]

Cash bears a similar resemblances to his son, but with the exception of having a small white goatee under his chin, dark circles under his eyes, his tail being mostly black, and his horn pattern being more triangular with black that stretched down the sides of his face, resembling sideburns. He also has thicker, longer fingers that are colored black, similar to his daughter's as an adult.

His normal attire (which is also his backstage attire) is that of a charcoal top hat with a rose-taupe band and patch sewn on the right side, a white Juliet-sleeved high-collared dress-shirt with thick vertical stripes colored in rose-taupe and faded-pink below the collar, stained baggy pants that sport the same appearance to his hat, and black heeled boots.

His stage outfit that he wears during performances consists of a dark purple top hat with a green band and a teal patch sewn on the right side, a green-striped long-sleeved shirt with a ruffled white collar and a small, dark purple bowtie with a green center, baggy pants that sport the same appearance to his hat, and black dress shoes.

Personality[]

Cash is presented as a manipulative and functionally bad father, at least towards Blitzo, evidenced by him emotionally manipulating his son to steal from the Goetia family against his son's better judgement.

Cash is incredibly greedy, heavily implied to hold little regard for his son, exchanging his son for $5 and a slim-fit condom from Paimon, with his ulterior motive towards doing this was to use his son to steal from the Goetia family.

In "Ghostf**kers", he was seen in a flashback striking his son, Blitzo, and blaming him for what happened in the fire, implying that he either cared for his wife and was distraught and angry over her death, or he cared about his circus business and it was all destroyed in the fire. Because of his anger and how he blames Blitzo, he goes as far as preventing him from visiting Fizzarolli in the hospital and lied that Fizzarolli didn't want to see him.

History[]

Past[]

At some point Cash became the ringleader of All-Imp Circus and met Tilla, with whom he had twins, Blitzo and Barbie Wire. He began to favor Fizzarolli, Blitzo's best friend, due to his talents and popularity even more than his son.

After one performance of his son and Fizzarolli, King Paimon negotiated a deal with Cash to arrange a playdate for Blitzo and his son Stolas, but before trading his son to Paimon, Cash instructed Blitzo to rob the royal mansion, exploiting Blitzo's love for his mother to get him to agree.[3] In the mansion, Blitzo started a game of pirates, thereby hiding the robbery, then threw the sacks of stolen items from the balcony to Cash, who was hiding in the bushes outside.

Fifteen years prior to the events of "Oops", Cash was part of a birthday party for Fizzarolli where he gifted him a card with "Wish you were my son" on it just before the circus caught on fire and burned down.[4]

Cash survived the fire, unlike his wife, and blamed Blitzo for what happened, going so far as to slap him and later prevented him from visiting Fizzarolli in the hospital,[5] lying to him that Fizzarolli didn't want to see him.[4]

Trivia[]

  • Cash Buckzo's name is a combination of the words "cash" and "bucks", with both words being alternate words for money, highlighting his greedy attitude.
  • He and Paimon share the same voice actor, with both being voiced by Jonathan Freeman.

Development[]

  • In concept art for Cash, it is shown that his initial design had longer horns with spikes part way along them, but were simplified with the spikes removed due to time constraints on animation.[6]
