Overview

"Yeah, no, sorry, Cletus, but I'm afraid your actions resulted in the death of a human. I'm afraid you can't re-enter Heaven. Yeaaaah, noooo..."
―Deerie to C.H.E.R.U.B

Deerie is a cherub[1] angel and a minor character who makes her debut in the Helluva Boss episode "C.H.E.R.U.B".

She is the one who informs Cletus, Collin, and Keenie of their banishment from Heaven after they accidentally killed Lyle Lipton, indicating that she is presumably an employee with a higher position unlike the trio.

Appearance[]

Compared to her fellow Cherubs, Deerie is a rather tall anthropomorphic fawn who sports very light brown fur with lemon accents, along with brownish-coral hair and ears that are a pastel yellow on the inside with orchid-colored tips.

She also has a dark slate blue-purple nose that could almost match her eyes, which are nearly the same color, albeit slightly brighter. Her eyebrows, eyelashes and hooves are indigo, and she has a pair of pale golden feathered-wings.

There is also a yellowish-white glow around her that matches her halo, and all of her outlines are done in dark purple. Her outfit is that of a set of dark blue overalls over a brighter-colored, long-sleeved shirt with a pink bow hanging from the collar.

Personality[]

Despite not being given much screen time, it is shown that Deerie, like every other Cherub, is cheerful, optimistic, and angelic. She is also shown to mainly speak in a repetitive speech pattern with apologetic words, although her attitude with banishing the trio from C.H.E.R.U.B did not seem to match up with the words she said, hinting Deerie is indifferent to other people's misery.

Deerie seems to be the leader in the group, since she is the one who states the rules and is seen being the first of the cherubs to arrive.

Deerie peppers her sentences with drawn out "Yeah..." and little "no", even saying the latter multiple times to prove a point.

Abilities[]

  • Flight - Like other cherubs, Deerie has the ability to fly using her wings.
  • Object materialization - As shown in her debut episode, she is able to summon objects out of thin air, in that case, a pair of reading glasses with a clipboard. Though, it is unknown if this particular feat is unique to her or if it is common among every other cherub.
  • Banishment - Her debut episode seems to suggest Deerie can banish or exile other cherubs from Heaven, though whether or not she actually has this power herself or if it was done on the behalf of a higher power is currently unknown.
