Trivia[]
- Initially when the soundtrack was announced, 19 of the songs present in the tracklist had their titles hidden with emojis presumably which correlate to the characters who sing them and the songs' themes, and according to Sam Haft in an Interview he didn't pick the emojis for each song but the corresponding emojis were chosen by a person named Mikey Parker who works for Atlantic Records and acts as the key label of all things in the Hellaverse.[9]
- On October 6, 2025, the fifth track had its title revealed to be "Gravity".
- On October 24, 2025, the second, third, and fourth tracks had their titles revealed to be "Once We Get Up There", "Like You", and "Sera's Confession" respectively, and were revealed to be from episodes 1 and 2.[10] However, they were not updated on the tracklist itself until the following day.
- On October 31, 2025, the sixth through tenth tracks had their titles revealed to be "Piss (A Love Song)", "Speedrun To Redemption", "Don't You Forget", "Clean It Up!", and "Don't You Forget (Reprise)".[11]
- The emojis used for "Don't You Forget" and "Don't You Forget (Reprise)" were originally swapped in the tracklist.
- On November 7, 2025, the eleventh through sixteenth tracks had their titles revealed to be "Bad With Us", "Vox Populi", "Vox Dei", "Love In A Bottle", "Losin' Streak", and "Easy".[12]
- On November 14, 2025, the seventeenth through twentieth tracks had their titles revealed to be "Brighter", "Live To Live", "When I Think About The Future", and "Hear My Hope".[13]
- On October 24, 2025, it was announced that the titles for the songs would be revealed on a weekly basis.[10]
- "Vox Populi" and "Vox Dei" are Latin phrases, translating to "the voice of the people" and "the voice of God" respectively, which together complete the phrase, "Vox populi, vox Dei", meaning "the voice of the people is the voice of God".
- Piss (A Love Song) and VOX POPULI debuted ahead of the second season premiere during the Hazbin Hotel: Live On Broadway event on October 20, 2025. The songs were performed live by Krystina Alabado (with Alex Brightman's studio vocals from the track), Jeremy Jordan and Christian Borle, respectively.
- Vivziepop explained that the reason Krystina performed Piss (A Love Song) on her own was because at the last minute, Alex Brightman was too sick to perform.[14]
- According to the "Season 2 Q&A w/ the Cast" livestream countdown, half of the songs for season 2 were written before Season 1 of the series premiered on Prime Video.[15]
