Season 2 is the second season of Helluva Boss. On November 14, 2020, a second season was confirmed to be in production.[2][3]
The season premiered on July 30, 2022,[4] and is still ongoing with eleven episodes currently released.
The second season has twelve episodes, and was said to no longer have massive waits between episodes compared to the first season[1]. But, due to the production for Hazbin Hotel season one beginning, "Seeing Stars" and "Exes and Oohs" took longer to produce.[5]
Episode Summary
- "The Circus": Paimon takes his son to a circus on his birthday and buys him a gift.
- "Seeing Stars": Octavia steals her father's grimoire from I.M.P to go see the stars.
- "Exes and Oohs": Moxxie visits his home town and reunites with his father and an unexpected acquaintance.
- "Western Energy": Stolas is kidnapped by Striker while Blitzo takes Loona to get her Hellbies shot.
- "Unhappy Campers": Moxxie leads a mission for the first time while Blitzo searches for his twin sister.
- "Oops": Fizzarolli goes out for milk when he and Blitzo are taken hostage by old foes.
- "MAMMON'S MAGNIFICENT MUSICAL MID-SEASON SPECIAL (ft Fizzarolli)": Fizzarolli goes to a clown pageant to perform and win for his boss, Mammon.
- "The Full Moon": Stolas and Blitzo prepare for their monthly full moon rendezvous, meanwhile, Cletus, Collin, and Keenie team up with Agents One and Two against their common demon enemies.
- "Apology Tour": Blitzo tries to repair his relationship with Stolas and apologizes to those he's wronged in the past.
- "Ghostf**kers": Blitzo and Millie are tasked with hunting a "ghost" who has been killing human guests at a spooky hotel.
- "Mastermind": I.M.P is put on trial to be sentenced by Satan for their illegal business using Stolas' grimoire.

Trivia
- On December 17, 2021, an official trailer for 2022 was uploaded, featuring scenes of storyboards and partially-finished animations of the second season.[7]
- It was stated the standard runtime for episodes in this season would be longer than those from the first season.[8]
- From the first episode onward, the SpindleHorse logo at the end of every episodes' end credits now has an animated sequence.
- The spinning pentagram shown during viewers' disclaimer at the start of every episode has changed from being in the background to spinning at the bottom of the text.
- The first episode, "The Circus", aired the day after Horvitz's 56th birthday.
- The second episode, "Seeing Stars", aired on Pinkham's 40th birthday.
- According to Vivian Nixon, season two was recorded in 2022.[9]
- According to Vivienne Medrano, season two was recorded in 2020-2021,[10] and explained that when a character didn't play a significant role in an episode, like Loona in the early episodes, it was easier on the budget to not have them speak.[11]
- During a stream on August 8, 2022, Vivienne Medrano explained that they had planned for season 2 during writing season 1 and that after recording the first season she began scripting for the second and had locked the scripts in when "Loo Loo Land" came out.[12]
- On July 30, 2023, Vivienne Medrano revealed that season two was written in 2020 and the entire story for the season was locked in by the release of "Loo Loo Land".[13]
- On May 22, 2023, Vivienne Medrano stated that there are 12 episodes this season,[14] and announced the release months for the final five episodes on April 27, 2024.[15]
- On May 26, 2023, Vivienne Medrano responded to a question about the release of the seventh episode, saying that their realistic goal is to release it in 2023, and that episode seven will be a special.[16]
- Vivienne later said in a tweet on July 28, 2023, that she hopes to release at least both episodes six and seven during 2023,[17] and that the episodes are both Fizzarolli-related.[18]
- On July 31, 2023, Vivienne Medrano revealed in a tweet the titles for season two's episodes six through twelve.[6]
- It is revealed in the episode "MAMMON'S MAGNIFICENT MUSICAL MID-SEASON SPECIAL (ft Fizzarolli)" that the instrumental used during the 2022 trailer is from the song Klown Bitch.
- The episode also aired a day after Vivienne Medrano's thirty first birthday.
- Sam Haft believes the two Fizzarolli episodes were recorded before Hazbin Hotel season 1 was recorded.[19]
- On November 4, 2023, Vivienne Medrano revealed that the scene of Andrealphus from the 2022 trailer that hadn't been shown in an episode by the time of her tweet is from the very last episode of the season.[20]
- On December 4, 2023, Jayden Libran confirmed that he would be voicing in "The Full Moon", after previously mistaking a teaser for Just Look My Way being for the episode.[21][22] It is revealed he reprised the voice of Collin, and voiced two additional voices.[23]
- On December 4, 2023, Brandon Rogers revealed that he and Bryce Pinkham sing a duet in "The Full Moon".[24]
- The episodes "Oops", "MAMMON'S MAGNIFICENT MUSICAL MID-SEASON SPECIAL (ft Fizzarolli)", "The Full Moon", and "Apology Tour" alongside the music video Just Look My Way, have some of its animations outsourced to Toon City located in Vancouver and Mandaluyong.
- From the Just Look My Way music video onwards, every Helluva Boss media (episodes, shorts, music videos, etc.) is accompanied by a wave of official merchandise based on said media being sold at SharkRobot's online store.
- In episodes "Oops" and "MAMMON'S MAGNIFICENT MUSICAL MID-SEASON SPECIAL (ft Fizzarolli)", Vivziepop released official music videos of the songs that premiere during their respective episodes, starting with Look At This!.
- According to Vivziepop, there will be an answer to the question of if Hellborn demons have their own transformations in season 2.[25]
