James Monroe Iglehart

James Monroe Iglehart is an American stage, film, television and voice actor best known for his Tony Award-winning performance as the Genie in the original Broadway production of Aladdin musical.

He voices Zestial in the Hazbin Hotel series^[1] and an unnamed Sinner from Klub Kaiju in the Hazbin Hotel pilot. He also voices Vortex and Asmodeus in Helluva Boss.

Background

James Iglehart is a Tony-award winning singer, actor and voice actor who played as the Genie in Disney's Aladdin musical on Broadway, and plays Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson in the Broadway musical Hamilton, Lance Strongbow from Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, as well as King Arthur in the 2023 revival of Monty Python's Spamalot.

James first met Vivienne Medrano after seeing his Broadway performance of Aladdin in 2014, where the two chatted and added each other on Facebook.^[2]
When he was still working for Disney, in 2014 or 2015, Vivziepop asked James to do a single line for the Hazbin Hotel pilot.^[3]
