Like You is the first of three songs featured in the Hazbin Hotel season two episode "Storyteller", sung by Emily, Abel, St. Peter, and Sir Pentious. It is about the three aforementioned angels trying to help Sir Pentious, who is overwhelmed and depressed, to adjust to living in Heaven.

- According to Sam Haft in a tweet posted on November 2, 2025, the song was originally written with a character called Rom-Com Girl singing "I'm in love with you, Santa Claus".[1]
- In a tweet posted on November 2, 2025, Haft explains that the songwriters rarely pitch onscreen action in songs, except for when it's directly part of the game the song is playing, which this song was and so Sir Pentious stealing various things to build a machine with was part of the scripted song.[1]
- Haft stated that for this song, they wanted it to be like they have a "good time all the time" vibe to it since it is Heaven. This song acts as Sir Pentious's welcome song, which draws inspiration from "chipper electro pop", and it becomes more expansive as it grows and shows him more of Heaven. It is a little more personal, since Emily is trying to make this direct connection. Haft also visually compared this song mentally to be like Emily, Abel, and St. Peter being visualized as SpongeBob and Patrick, and Pentious being Squidward, which was something he had in mind in this song, and feels that it is good Pentious is alive, but Heaven is the last place he wants to be.[2]
