Trivia[]
- Like her character, Sallie May, Morgana is a transgender lesbian woman.[1][2][3][4]
- Morgana requested that the Sallie May sexy merch have a bulge because many transgender females who haven't had sex-reassignment surgery don't tuck all the time, but the original merch designs were more cisgender in sex appeal.[5]
- She explains that when making the sexy merch, Morgana was consulted with and asked if there should be any changes made, and as the initial design for it had a much more flat crotch area like the other female characters, Morgana wanted to show that there is no shame with not hiding that part of the body and that Sallie May is confident and sexy in her body without hiding that she's transgender.[6]
- According to Morgana, she has been consulted with several times on the creative for Sallie May.[6]
- She also explained that Vivziepop, Adam Neylan, Brandon Rogers, Skye Henwood, Sam Miller, and others in leadership positions for this show, have been very encouraging to Morgana to take a creative role in Sallie May's story, design, and all elements that go into her character.[7]
- Morgana did not audition for Helluva Boss, instead voicing Sallie May was a direct offer from Vivziepop, who came to her and asked if she would like to portray the character of Millie's sister, who was planned to be transgender, so Vivziepop definitely wanted a transgender actress and had Morgana in mind for her.[8]
- Morgana also explains that she and Vivziepop were friends before the casting process, and Vivziepop knowing Morgana from acting work to do with comedy, horror, and demons, she wanted her in her show.[8]
- According to Morgana, when the Helluva Shorts were started, Adam Neylan had previously discussed with Vivziepop and when Adam and Morgana were out at lunch together, he asked if she wanted to write the shorts. Morgana explains that the first thing that came to mind for the shorts was the only time we have seen Sallie May and Millie together was a funny and snarky moment, and her idea for the story was to establish what their relationship is really like.[9]
