Patrick Stump is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer, and the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Fall Out Boy.

He is the voice of Abel^[1] and Hatchet (Season 2) in the Hazbin Hotel series.

For choosing Patrick Stump to voice Abel, Vivziepop explained that because of Adam being a kind of toxic masculine version of a rock star and Abel being the soft one and the sweet son, she thought it was very fitting to go to someone in the classic rock world. Additionally, Vivziepop had been a fan of Stump for a long time, has experience in both voice recording and music, and felt that he is someone who not only has a phenomenal voice, but a very distinct, unique, and incredibly iconic voice, and others on production pushed for her to reach out to him.^[2]^[3]
- Vivziepop added that Stump was the fastest of the cast to agree to a role offer, which was within two hours of the offer being sent.^[2]
