Piss (A Love Song) is the first of two songs featured in the Hazbin Hotel season two episode "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors", sung by Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb expressing their longing for each other.
A power ballad demo of the song was released as part of the Bonus Demo Edition season 2 soundtrack on November 24, 2025.[1]
Lyrics[]
Sir Pentious: These Elysian nights
Alone in the golden skies
Lost in a memory of how it used to be
When it was only you and me
And our old petty slights
I found home in those messy fights
Somehow I couldn't see through the cloud of debris
At the scene of the crime
They say time heals all wounds
But the wounds are what I miss
'Cause every brush with death
Meant much more than a kiss
Cherri Bomb: Can you hear me callin'
From way the fuck down here?
Those golden days of brawlin'
Were the best of all my years!
I'm bored as fuck without you!
Are you bored without me, too?
I'm longing for just one night more
Of beating the piss out of you
Turf war!
What's the score?
Sir Pentious: How the hell'd she get on board?
Egg Boiz, kill that vandal!
Cherri Bomb: Hope you like your minions scrambled!
Egg Boi: Oh, shit!
Cherri Bomb: Get lit!
Sir Pentious: Get your punk ass off my ship!
Cherri Bomb: If you say so, gotta go!
Egg Boi: Oh my God, it's gonna blow!
Cherri Bomb: Another exciting Sin City night
This sheila's blastin' your ass away!
Sir Pentious: Glorious bloodshed under neon lights
I will destroy you at last!
Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb: They say time heals all wounds
But the wounds are what I miss
And every brush with death
Meant much more than a kiss!
Can ya feel me fallin'?
Cherri Bomb: Though I don't know if it's love (Sir Pentious: Could this be love?)
Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb: The cuts are healed and scarrin'
Sir Pentious: But I still taste the blood (Cherri Bomb: I still taste your blood!)
Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb: I know I tried to kill you
And you tried to kill me too
You blew a hole right through my soul
While I was beating the piss out of you!
Beatin...
The piss...
Cherri Bomb: Out of you...
Sir Pentious: These cold city nights
Alone in the neon lights
Lost in a memory of how it used to be
When we were at each others throats
Those old petty slights
I found home in those messy fights
Somehow, I couldn't see how much they meant to me
They say time heals all wounds
But the wounds are what I miss
And every brush with death
Was much more than a kiss
Cherri Bomb: Can you hear me callin'
From way the fuck down here?
Those golden days of brawlin'
Were the best of all my years
I'm bored as fuck without you
Are you bored without me too?
I'm longing for just one night more
Of beating the piss out of you
Sir Pentious: 'Til death do us part
At depths where we found our start
Once I met your flame, knew I'd never be the same
They say time heals all wounds
But the wounds are what I miss
And every brush with death
Was much more than a kiss
Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb: Can you feel me fallin'?
Cherri Bomb: Though I don't know if it's love (Sir Pentious: It could be love)
Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb: The cuts are healed and scarrin'
Sir Pentious: But I still taste the blood (Cherri Bomb: I still taste your blood)
Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb: I know I tried to kill you
And you tried to kill me too
You blew a hole right through my soul
While I was beating the piss out of you
Beating the piss
Cherri Bomb: Out of you
Trivia[]
- The song shows a callback to two scenes from the Hazbin Hotel pilot that involve Cherri exploding part of Sir Pentious' airship and destroying some of his Egg Boiz.
- This song was accidentally posted on November 3, 2025, on the Amazon Prime Netherlands YouTube channel three days prior to the episode's premiere, before later being deleted.
- This song debuted ahead of the second season premiere during the Hazbin Hotel: Live On Broadway on October 20, 2025, as a live performance by Krystina Alabado (with Alex Brightman's studio vocals from the track). VOX POPULI also premiered early during the show.
- Vivziepop explains that the reason Krystina performed on her own was because, last minute, Alex Brightman was too sick to perform.[2]
- Due to not liking toilet humor, Vivziepop explains that it was difficult for the songwriters to convince her about the title.[3]
- Vivziepop explains that the song had to be redone a couple of times, because while the first version was good, she didn't think it really captured the type of energy she wanted for Sir Pentious and Cherri, so she pushed Sam and Andrew towards the sounds she wanted them to have, including for Sir Pentious to have harps accord and to be a weird Victorian combination of things she describes as "like boy band meets harps accord meets rock meets ballad".[3]
- Sam Haft says that this song was one of the most monumental song achievements in his career and is proud of it, because it is a long song that exists only for this show and for these characters. He felt that this song couldn't exist in any other way than this world, since it's like this "sad boy steam punk boy band" and one half "average lavine and Riot Girl" and are combined into this '80s power ballad.[1]
