Sam Miller is the art director[1] at SpindleHorse Toons for Hazbin Hotel and formerly Helluva Boss.
Early Life[]
Sam attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City from 2013 to 2015, majoring in Animation.
Career[]
In May 15, 2019, Sam announced that she is now working as a background artist for Hazbin Hotel.[2]

- Helsa von Eldritch is one of Sam's favorites[8] and according to herself, her real job on Hazbin Hotel is to stan Helsa.[9]
- Velvette became Sam's favorite character in Hazbin Hotel when her redesign was started.[10]
- Beelzebub is Sam's favorite character in Helluva Boss.[11]
- Sam also helped design Beelzebub's hair and tail, and did all her palette changes with Vivziepop.[11]
- Sam Miller had the honor to do all the backgrounds for Alastor's Reprise in the Hazbin Hotel pilot.[12]
- In the backgrounds Sam turned all the statues and other skeleton elements into deer's because she figured it fit.[13]
- The Clock Tower redesign for the main series was made by Sam Miller, with help from Ashleigh Beevers.[14]
- Both the Hotel redesign and the rebuilt Hotel main series designs were made by Sam Miller.[15]
- Velvette's phone case design was made by Sam Miller and is designed so the "<3" is both a heart chatspeak and stands for "3 Vees"[16] while the patterns at the bottom corners are @ symbols mimicking the shape language of her pigtails.[17]
- The VoxTek logo was made by Sam Miller and is designed to be Vox's hypno eye on it's side to create a V, and includes the Wi-Fi symbol.[18]
- Valentino's symbol was made by Sam Miller and is an elevated design of the one she made for the ADDICT music video; it has a subtle XXX within a moth design, and is also a bit skull-like.[18]
