Trivia[]
- The studio name is based on one of Vivziepop's oldest characters that she had since middle school called "Spindle Horse", and was used for an imaginary studio name and production company mascot in her childhood. Spindle Horse was originally planned to be part of Vivziepop's webcomic ZooPhobia, but became used for her YouTube channel name[1][2][3] and now the name for her official animation studio.
- As of the first episode of Helluva Boss season two onwards, the company logo at the end of every episode's end credits now has an animated sequence.
- Sam Miller was asked to do a quick initial pass on Spindle before Vivienne Medrano finalized the design for the new animated logo design.[4]
- Vlada Shiianova cleaned up the shot with the SpindleHorse animated logo.[5]
- Mike Boggs created the Helluva Boss version of the animated logo, while Colten Seamans created the Hazbin Hotel version of the animated logo.[6][7]
- According to Vivziepop, as of July 2024, the entire SpindleHorse team is "definitely over 100" and "maybe getting close to 200" people.[8]
- Vivziepop explains that when hiring she completely trusts the leadership of each department to handle the process, including looking at reels and deciding who joins and who should be tested first. Vivziepop herself doesn't get involved in the process anymore because her schedule is very packed and doing so would cause bottlenecks and slow downs.[9]
- For Hazbin Hotel season one, SpindleHorse animated "The Show Must Go On", while Princess Bento was responsible for the rest of the series.[10]
- SpindleHorse also does the storyboards for the series.[10]
