St. An's Hospital is a hospital located in the Sloth Ring that made its debut in "Western Energy".
Description[]
Exterior[]
The exterior of the hospital is shown to have a pink, pale dark purple and light purple color scheme. Outside are several light posts around the parking lot, which has a dark purple road, and there are seats and some potted plants on the pathways as well as a waterfall falling on one side.
The tallest building has a sign at the top saying "St. An's" in pink text with a purplish colored upside-down cross between the words and having the text of "hospital" going down the cross. The entrance to this building has a portico with closed eye pattern around it and a sign saying "Emergency" above it. The entrance has pink doors with yellow handles and "Enter" signs, and "Exit" signs on the inside doors
Connected to one side of the tallest building is a building with it's own entrance and a sign saying "Surgical Wing" at the top, and on top is a spherical structure resembling like a droopy, tired eye. Beside the surgical wing is another large building with a sign saying "Financial Processing". Connected to the other side of the tallest building is a building, also with it's own entrance, and a sign saying "Pediatric Wing" at the top, and on top is another spherical structure.
Interior[]
Inside the tallest building is the lobby and waiting room, which has a purple rug, several chairs, a book holder, a picture of floating islands with waterfalls, and a Venus flytrap type plant in a pot with a bin beside it. The rooms ceiling cornice have a closed eye pattern. The reception desk has a sign saying "WAIT BEHIND LINE" underneath on the front and a small pot plant on top, while behind the desk are a bookshelf and a door with a sign saying "Employees Only" and ribbon decorations that says "quiet hell-idays". Beside the reception desk is and nearby the door with pink handles that leads to other parts of the hospital.
Dr. Somna's office[]
Inside the doctor's room the walls are part white and part purple with purple cornice and pink tiled floor. There is an examination table, with drawers in the sides, and a chair in the shape of a paw for the doctor to sit on. On one wall is a dark pink cloud-shaped plaque with the doctor's name on it.
There is also a desk with cabinets and a sink with some hand towels, soap and sanitizing wipes, and above are three overhead cabinets, one being labeled "Treats". Also on the desk are a radio with a monster mouth-shaped speaker and a bone attachment on the antenna and a dog bowl full of bone-shaped lollipops.
Beside the desk is a small bin of syringes. Around the room there is also a bin for rubbish, a dispenser for new plastic gloves, a pink ledge with a sanitizer spray and a small pink-rimmed mirror, as well as multiple other items the doctor would use for different patients.
Stolas' hospital room[]
The room where Stolas was placed at the end of "Western Energy" is full of flowers with yellow eyes in the center with spikes on two sides and surrounded by red petals. Stolas' hospital bed has a purple fitted sheet, a pink blanket, a white pillow covered in light closed eye patterns, and a purple and white headboard.
Beside the bed is a small purple end table with a pot with the same flowers as the rest of the room and beside the table is an intravenous pole that holds a transfusion bag of demon's blood. At the end of the bed, there’s a sling that held up Stolas’s broken leg. On the back wall above the beds headboard are two screens monitoring Stolas' recovery.
History[]
In "Western Energy", Blitzo took Loona to St. An's Hospital for her Hellbies shot. Later in the episode, Moxxie and Millie took Stolas there after he was badly injured and unconscious from Striker's torture. The news stations and paparazzies were also there hoping to get a story about Stolas getting kidnapped and tortured.
Trivia[]
- The hospital's name "St. An's" may be a play on words of "Satan".
- The doctor's name as shown on his plaque, Dr. Somna, may be a reference to the word "somna", meaning "to fall asleep".
- For some reason, it takes five years to make a Hellbies shot appointment for Hellhounds, despite a new one being required every year.
- Throughout the hospital are iconography of closed eyes, fitting as the hospital is in the Sloth Ring.
- There are multiple signs around the walls of the hospital, including:
- A light yellow sign on the entrance that says "drop off" with an arrow pointing to where the entrance is.
- Two signs near the exit with images showing cameras and some type of bottle being prohibited.
- A sign in the waiting room that appears to be an advertisement saying "soothing sleep sounds and light" with text below it that says whether any appointments are available.
- A light yellow sign behind the reception desk with a picture of a small hellhound getting an injection that says in large letters "GET YOURS TODAY!" with smaller text saying "OR ELSE." at the bottom.
- A sign with pink text that says "please cleanse your claws" with a sanitizing station beside the reception desk.
- A sign nearby the reception desk that says "STOP Check In Before Entering".
