Stolas' Mansion, sometimes referred to as a palace, is the former residence of Stolas and current residence of his family, and made its first appearance in the Helluva Boss pilot. In "Mastermind", Stolas was evicted from his home after being stripped of his royal status, and Andrealphus moving in shortly after.
Description[]
The mansion is a regal burgundy colored building that turns into a deep blue with violet tones during the night, mimicking a night sky. Its windows are elegant and tall with pink stained glass, which light long corridors filled with plant vases, which are probably carnivorous given Stolas' interest in gardening.
A common theme of the building is astrology with many star and moon patterns along with night sky imagery on the ceilings. it also has Stolas' glyph carved in several places such as the balconies, which glows blue during the night.
Stolas and Stella slept together in a regal looking room with a canopy bed and several chandeliers casting a pale green light. Their daughter, Octavia, sleeps in a separate, equally regal but smaller room. The mansion also has a luxurious restroom with a standalone bathtub surrounded by a glowing circle of zodiac signs and floating constellations.
The mansion is full of paintings of Stolas' family in the manner of old aristocratic families.
Stolas' backyard is also huge with a lot of hell flora, and a small pond/pool adorned with a small fountain . Similar to his bathtub, the pool water is surrounded by zodiac signs and floating constellations. There is also a lawn chair (with an accompanying side table), a bigger table with more chairs, and a tent.
As of "Sinsmas", the mansion has been moved into by Andrealphus due to Stolas' banishment, and its exterior is now covered in snow and ice sculptures, and its interior has been redecorated with pictures of Andrealphus and sculpted ice.
History[]
Past[]
Stolas had begun living in this mansion ever since he was born. On one of his birthdays, Paimon summoned the young prince to his throne room to be entrusted with a grimoire and informed him of being arranged into a non-negotiable marriage with Stella once he would come of age.
On the same day, young Blitzo was taken to Stolas' mansion as a 'gift' for the young prince, where they played 'pirates' (which was actually stealing valuables from all over the mansion).
25 years later, Blitzo slept with Stolas in his bedroom in order to steal his grimoire. However, whilst escaping with the item, he tripped and fell on the table Stolas' wife, Stella, and her friends were sitting at, and apologized to her for sleeping with Stolas.[1]
Helluva Boss pilot[]
NOTE: The events depicted within the episode are confirmed to be not canon to the main Hazbin Hotel franchise by the creators.
In his home at an unknown period of time, Stolas called Blitzo and commissioned him to assassinate a political candidate on Earth.
Helluva Boss Season 1[]
"Murder Family"[]
Stolas was taking a bath in the bathroom, watching Blitzo through bubbles, when he struck a deal with Blitzo regarding the use of his grimoire.
"Loo Loo Land"[]
A young Octavia was consoled by her father after having a nightmare. In current time, Octavia is witnessed to her parents' fights in the kitch due to Stolas' infidelities, then Stolas decides to take Octavia to Loo Loo Land.
"The Harvest Moon Festival"[]
After the festival, Stella was shouting on the phone at the dining table, ordering Striker to kill Stolas. Stolas was confused as to what was going on, while Octavia was too immersed in her music to notice.
"Ozzie's"[]
Stolas was originally watching Hell-a-Novella in the mansion's television room, when he suddenly received Blitzo's call. He then left the mansion after getting himself dressed. He was driven back to the mansion and left at the entrance by Blitzo after their meeting at Ozzie's ended disastrously.
Helluva Boss Season 2[]
"The Circus"[]
After being dropped off, Stolas remembered his past of how he met and reunited with Blitzo while having gotten drunk after the events of "Ozzie's". He then begun singing a song while trying to find a way to end his deal with Blitzo, possibly already considering giving Blitzo an Asmodean Crystal. Stella then stormed to the balcony to scold him from singing, told him that she stayed in their miserable marriage just to torment him, and almost hit him when he stood up to her. Stolas then melancholically looked at the night sky, after Stella ominously threatened him that he would regret standing up to her.
"Seeing Stars"[]
During the flashback sequence, Octavia was told of the Azathoth's Tears by Stolas in her childhood bedroom.
In the present day, Stella was having her belongings moved out of the mansion. In the same episode, Octavia woke up from her bedroom and tried to get outside to remind Stolas about his promise of watching the Azathoth's Tears, but he was too busy arguing with Stella to listen, which resulted in Octavia storming out of the mansion.
"Just Look My Way"[]
The study was shown during the song, where Stolas received the Asmodean Crystal he would later give to Blitzo and sang about wanting to end the deal.
"The Full Moon"[]
During the morning, Stolas when singing When I See Him had a panic episode before the night's meeting with Blitzo. Later at Stolas' bedroom that night, Stolas gave Blitzo the Asmodean Crystal and decided to end their deal. Angry, Blitzo followed Stolas all the way to the party room and insulted Stolas, who felt emotionally wounded and ejected Blitzo out.
"Apology Tour"[]
When Stolas was enjoying a romance novel at the swimming pool, Blitzo climbed through the walls and arrived at the pool, where the two males had a huge argument. After the intense dispute, Stolas stood up and went back into the mansion.
"Mastermind"[]
Stolas was watching the television in the television room, when he realized Blitzo was going to be executed at Hell's Courthouse and teleported his way there. Later, Octavia witnessed on television that Stolas was going to be executed. Stella then arrived and pretended to comfort her daughter, when in reality she was more than glad that Stolas was going to possibly be dead.
"Sinsmas"[]
At some point after Stolas was exiled from the Ars Goetia, Stella moved back into the mansion. Also, Andrealphus moved into the mansion from his former residence as he was given Stolas' responsibilities.
As Stella and Andrealphus mocked Stolas in the overhauled living room, Octavia ran away in frustration. She also began noticing that her father's plants had begun dying, but didn't get to hear what Stella was saying in the lounge room. Eventually, Octavia discovered her father's antidepressants in the closet after going through her keepsakes about him and singing I Will Be Okay, and went out of the mansion to find him.
Later, Stolas went to the mansion to find Octavia, and got held hostage by Andrealphus after he punched the latter and thrashed Andrealphus with one of the ice statues. The members of I.M.P arrived and fought against Andrealphus and his ice dragon in front of the mansion. After Octavia saved her father and Blitzo from the ice hydra and Andrealphus retreated for the time being, Stolas attempted to apologize to her, but she confronted him about her fears and returned to the mansion, with ice spikes forming behind her.
