Past[]
Not much is known about Vortex's history, but at some point before the start of the series, he became Verosika Mayday's bodyguard after her breakup with Blitzo, and he began to date Beelzebub.
Helluva Boss Season 1[]
"Spring Broken"[]
He is first seen when he threatens Blitzo when he complains about Verosika stealing his parking spot. Verosika introduces him and claims Vortex does his job well, "unlike [Blitzo]" before walking away with him.
Later, Loona uses a pocket mirror to check her makeup and accidentally bumps into Vortex. Blitzo then gets between them after seeing her romantic interest in him, and Vortex reveals that he is there because Verosika rented office space on the same floor as I.M.P due to there being no room on the second floor and mockingly apologizes before walking away.
When Verosika goes to sing in the human world during Spring break, Vortex is there to guard her from her fans. Vortex knocks out a member of the crowd who attempts to rush the stage, and drags them away. Loona reaches Vortex, awkwardly introducing herself, and Vortex recognizes her as working for Blitzo; Loona apologizes for that if it's weird but says that it's cool since he isn't paid enough to care or get involved in Verosika's feud with him. Loona awkwardly flirts with him, before Blitzo interrupts them and gets into an argument with Vortex, who doesn't pay much heed to the angry imp and tells him to chill out but Blitzo retorts by telling him to stay out of it. After Blitzo walks away, hurt by Loona's harsh words, Vortex then asks if Loona is alright, and compliments her for sticking up for herself.
After I.M.P wins the bet and threatens to blackmail Verosika and her crew due to an incident with the Beelzejuice that Verosika was drinking, she tells Vortex that they're leaving. Vortex then tells Loona that he's got to go, but gives her his number, saying that his girlfriend throws a lot of great parties. Loona becomes disappointed upon hearing Vortex mention that he already has a girlfriend, seemingly shutting down her hopes of pursuing him romantically, but she still seems willing to go along with his offer of friendship and party invitation.
"Ozzie's"[]
Vortex invited Loona to a party held at his place.
"Queen Bee"[]
On the same night that "Ozzie's" took place, Vortex greets Loona when she arrives to the party that he invited her to in the Gluttony Ring. He then goes to get her a drink, and comes back after Loona furiously called one of her "old friends" a massive bitch.
After Beezlebub's performance of Cotton Candy, Vortex introduces her to Loona, which it becomes apparent that Beezlebub is his girlfriend. Seeing how he's already taken, Vortex is surprised to hear Loona wanted to go already, however, she doesn't when Blitzo arrives.
Vortex brings over two kegs of Beezlebub's strongest stash of Beelzejuice for the drinking contest between Beezlebub and Blitzo. After Blitzo wins and gets carried off by hellhounds, Beelzebub and Vortex look at each other in concern.
Later after seeing how drunk Blitzo got, Vortex and Beelzebub inform Loona about her father going a little too far and ruining the vibe. When Loona takes it the wrong way and almost gets into a fight with Beezlebub, Vortex appears upset about his two friends fighting but the pair stop before they begin, and after Loona walks away Beelzebub apologizes for her actions to Vortex and takes him to the dance floor.

"Seeing Stars"[]
Vortex appears in a photo when Loona logs into her Sinstagram account and we can see Vortex's profile picture and that Loona looked at Vortex's story.
"Apology Tour"[]
Vortex is attending Verosika's Anti-Blitzo party; he and Verosika act as backup vocals for Stolas' song.
